When is the HSK 3.0 exam?

HSK 3.0 starts worldwide on 13 December 2026. Every sitting before that date uses the current HSK 2.0 format.
The first HSK 3.0 sitting for levels 1–6 is scheduled for 13 December 2026. Registration closes on 16 November 2026 for the paper-based test and 3 December 2026 for the internet-based test, both at 24:00 Beijing time.
Two pilot sittings ran before the launch — 31 January 2026 and 20 September 2026 — at selected centres. They were labelled trials and do not change the format of regular 2026 sittings.
