HSK 3.0
What is the difference between HSK 3.0 and HSK 2.0?
Updated 27 October 2026
HSK 3.0 keeps six levels but adds 400 words, moves writing down to level 2, and uses more shared-picture panels and integrated listening tasks.
The biggest day-to-day change is the paper, not the word list. HSK 3.0 leans on six-option picture panels, audio that plays twice, and tasks that combine listening with choosing a picture or an answer.
If your exam is before 13 December 2026, prepare for the current format. If it is after, switch to 3.0 materials — the vocabulary overlap is high, but the question style is different.
